ResChem Analytical Limited is a Smithers company, based in Derby, England. The laboratory was established in 2014 by Derek Brown and Gareth Watson.
ResChem Analytical specialise in pesticide residue analysis and conduct regulatory studies on behalf of agrochemical companies for the registration of plant protection products. We have been a member of the United Kingdom Good Laboratory Practice Compliance Monitoring Programme since 2015.
Derek Brown (BSc (Hons), MSc, CSci, CChem, MRSC)
Derek has over 35 years’ experience in the field of pesticide residue analysis and has worked in a GLP environment for over 30 years. He previously established, developed and managed analytical facilities for two separate contract research organisations.
Derek is an experienced Study Director who has profound experience in analytical method development and specialises in GC-MS. As a COLEACP/PiP consultant, he has delivered training sessions to organisations in several countries to enhance their expertise in pesticide residues analysis and quality systems.
Gareth Watson (BSc (Hons), MRSC)
Gareth has over 15 years’ experience in the field of pesticide residue analysis in a GLP environment and specialises in LC-MS/MS method development, troubleshooting and analysis.
Gareth is a highly experienced Analytical Chemist and Study Director who has successfully managed a wide portfolio of studies in his previous role as a team leader at a large contract research organisation. As a recognised technical expert, Gareth has delivered training sessions to various organisations and universities to enhance their expertise in chromatographic techniques and LC-MS/MS.
